FAQs

What do I need to request a quote?

For a PCB design quote:

  • BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Schematic Diagram
  • Mechanical Drawing
  • Engineering Notes
  • Schedule Requirements

For a bare board fabrication quote:

  • Fabrication Drawing
  • Quantity and Schedule Requirements
  • CAM Data (if available)

For a PCB assembly quote:

  • BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Assembly Drawing
  • Quantity and Schedule Requirements
  • CAM Data (if available)

When should I expect my quote?

Labor-only quotes typically require 24 hours or less. Turnkey quotes typically require 3-5 days.

What do I need to start a project?

For PCB design:

  • BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Schematic Diagram
  • Mechanical Drawing
  • Engineering Notes
  • Schematic Generated Netlist/Parts List

For bare board fabrication:

  • Fabrication Drawing
  • Complete CAM Data Package

For PCB assembly:

  • BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Assembly Drawing
  • CAM Data
  • Complete Material Kit (if applicable)
  • Solder Sample or Spare Board

What are your standard turn times?

Typically 10 working days for each phase of development, depending on the scope of the project and availability of materials.

Can you expedite turn times?

Yes. We can deliver a prototype in as little as 24 hours, depending on the quantity and complexity of the project.

What are the requirements for a complete material kit on consignment?

  • All parts should be placed in individually labeled bags, clearly marked with the item number from the BOM, part number and quantity.
  • Include at least a 5-10% surplus for all components. All unused materials will be returned to the customer.
  • Tape & Reel component strips should be a minimum of 8-10 inches in length, regardless of the quantity required.
  • All ICs should be properly packaged in tubes, Tape & Reel or waffle trays.
  • Full component reels are not necessary.
  • Spare board – Include a spare board that can be used for reflow profiling, programming, etc. A scrap or solder sample board is sufficient.

What about partial material kits?

No problem. We can provide full or partial materials procurement services, according to your needs.

What are your quality standards for design and production?

We adhere to IPC standards for design, fabrication and assembly processes. We inspect to Class 2 or Class 3 requirements as specified. Additionally, all of our assembly technicians are J-STD-001 and IPC certified.
